Upcoming Community Events
We love to help promote events happening in our communities, even if Iowa Hands & Voices is not directly involved.
EHDI is inviting families with a deaf/hard of hearing child ages 0-3 (plus siblings!) to an event at the Animal Rescue League (ARL)! Join us for a family day of fun, activities, animals, and socializing with other families that have children who are deaf or hard of hearing!
This event is free for your immediate family members only. We will have story time with a therapy animal, activities and crafts for the kids to make treats and/or toys to give to the animals, and a tour of the ARL with the ability to interact with the animals!
We hope you can join us!
ARL of Central Iowa
Where: ARL - 5452 NE 22nd St., Des Moines, IA
When: Saturday, February 1st 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Please register before January 25th so we can get a final headcount to the ARL.
Upcoming Events with Iowa School for the Deaf (ISD)
Iowa School for the Deaf, located in Council Bluffs, does a wonderful job supporting students and families around Iowa. These events are hosted by ISD. While we aren't always directly supporting the event, you will often see us there with our own kiddos!
