Upcoming Events from Iowa School for the Deaf (ISD)
t’s the annual celebration of American Sign Language (ASL) where students experience a day of ASL discovery and learning. Get registered for a day of educational and fun events for families and educators. A Deaflympic medalist and deaf athletes will be featured. No cost.

Keynote speaker: Easter Fa’afiti grew up deaf attending mainstream schools, relying on lip-reading, speech and hearing aids to succeed on hearing teams. At Gallaudet University, she embraced ASL and the Deaf community. Her story of resilience and pride will inspire you. Easter is a 3-time gold medalist in women’s basketball, a 2-time conference player of the year and a Gallaudet University Hall of Fame inductee.

Events are in ASL. Interpretation from ASL into English will be available.
Registration is required and includes lunch, snacks and Kids Camp for ages 5-12. The deadline to register is Oct. 24.
